Flower in the Snow…

A flower in the snow.;

it’s beauty is put to show,

comes out to brighten our world

without saying a word.

True beauty comes from within;

even a brief smile or a little wave

will make the world a better place.

Say “thanks,” don’t be ruled by haste

and always lean towards joy;

give the world some heart ❤️ in your day,

and add kindness to our shared space.

We are all here together:

each of us storming our own weather,

so why not be as gentle as a feather

as you spread joy and kindness –

what could be better?

True beauty comes from within;

even a brief smile or a little wave

will make the world a better place.

Look up from the screens,

put away the devices,

too much time is sacrificed.

Let’s use our time wisely,

enjoy time spent together

it keeps families connected better.

Get out, shine ✨ out your love, ❤

listen quietly to him above:

hear your feet 🥾 🥾 upon the snow

and don’t forget to glow!

Glow with the love 💗 of God

inside you.

Glow and shine out to the world!

🌺With Love and Blessings,

Evana.

🌊 When the Tide is right or wrong – 👉Count me in 💖

When the tide is right –

when the tide is wrong

don’t wait too long,

no one is You,

that’s your superpower too –

keep pulling through

waiting won’t improve you.

While the tide is wrong

stay strong –

and think of the ocean song.

Don’t wait for your ship

to come in, just swim!

No matter what you’re going through:

“Damn those torpedo’s, full speed ahead!”

Don’t let your mind tell you otherwise,

don’t leave your unique story unread.

Have a bad day –

start now

feel tired, bad or sick,

better be quick –

thoughts and body

push aside:

this is your ride,

this is your time.

High above flies the dove,

seek the things that are of love –

scout it out even during drought,

without a doubt you will grow a sprout.

At any age, any stage –

begin to engage

you will be freed

of your own cage.

Be the change

you want to see,

it can help you feel

more free,

always find a way

to see more positivity!

Remember to question:

“Will this

(what I dream to do),

contribute

to the greater good?”

then find a way to pursue!

direct your attention and

lessen the “could and should.”

“The purpose of life

is a purposeful life,

we only get what we give,

let’s not waste time in strife!”

Rid yourselves of thoughts

that weigh heavy on your mind,

that’s the only way

you’ll be free to fly!

Be forgiving, let things go,

this is the best way

to grow.

The grass is greener

where you water it

so don’t sit

and go for it!

Take your horse by the reins,

blood runs through our veins –

stick to your plan,

keep up, show up –

you can!

The tide is below,

the dove is above.

the grass is where we land our feet

and the horse gives us strength to compete.

Count me in…

Count me in

take me for a spin,

take me through the rain

on a midnight train.

Count me in,

I’m ready to win

in this world of sin

it’s time to light my flame.

Burning in me

are my deepest desires,

they’re not just small fires.

Gimme a shake

right through my break

how much can one take,

before needing a lake?

A lake, some woods,

furry friends –

away from “should’s”

Burning in me

are my deepest desires,

they’re not just small fires.

Count me in.

One ☝️ is to begin,

two create a stronger win,

together we can build bridges

and take out our wounds’ stitches.

Go through your closet of pain

see what you find lurking,

what’s keeping you from gain

and what is and isn’t working.

All of us carry some past along

of where we started and came from,

unpack the baggage with us that stayed,

unravel the problems left in the shade.

rearrange and overcome,

it’s then you’ll see more light of the sun.

After some self-learning,

your wheels will begin turning.

A new path will be cleared,

the new you won’t be yearning,

instead, my dear:

you’ll be doing what you’re meant to do

and break through to the brand-new YOU.

“Beauty begins

the moment

you decide

to be

yourself.”

Many Blessings,

Evana.

Own the Door that’s Yours…

Own the door that’s yours,

no more standing at shores,

just keep the good stuff brewing,

continue your flow of renewing

again each time with pursuing –

and always keep in mind your goal.

In time you’ll be lead to the right door.

Open the door,

there’s more to life.

Open the door,

don’t think twice –

a short time lives a life.

You’ll know by the light you feel

that’s it is for you and real –

you deserve it

you are a big deal:

now take your light and

keep it bright!

Find within what tribe you reside,

some quality people to be by your side,

and look for people who don’t hide

but feel pride to be of a good kind:

those who step up ⬆️

not talk down,

those that help others

chase away the frown.

It’s okay to open the door,

you are meant for so much more!

🙌 Be blessed,

Evana.

Which Shoes Shall I Choose?

Which Shoes Shall I choose?

Which plan do I follow?

Should I just pick a pair,

do I dare?

They say if you walk a mile in another’s,

you learn to care.

Opening up to other’s views

can be like stars that spike –

radiating from bright light.

It can help loose ties bind

and restlessness of minds –

by stepping into shoes of those ill-defined.

They say if you walk a mile…

Three sides to every story,

the truth from each is somewhat skewed.

It is a human trait, but time to clean the slate

and change our world anew.

no matter what’s on your plate,

peace of mind awaits.

We’re all the same right from the start

and it’s never too late to take our weight

and let the pressure deflate

love is in our fate,

peace of mind awaits.

Can you relate

to wanting to please others

trying to create

the mold they’re desiring

not welcomed to debate?

Instead of filling someone else’s shoes;

walk in your own, it’s not rude

no need to complicate, no need to change

your mood to rude in a high magnitude

They say if you walk a mile…

Instead of die while trying

eventually we’re left realizing

it’s up to us finding

what makes us us and

there’s no need for hiding.

If not looked within

to find ourselves redesigning,

we may stay stuck in other’s shadows

never quite shining.

Enjoy what you do,

do what you enjoy!

Go ahead and let it annoy

those who have no reason to employ

their conflicted minds of your perceived joy.

Blaze your own trail

path of fire –
find your dearest desire

and take your journey higher.

Blaze your own trail,

clear your own path,

no need to be a wiz at math,

don’t question, stop stressin’

the world needs your expression.

Anytime you come and go,

enter and leave –

make it count and

make it heard,

leave an impression,

share your good word

soon you’ll have this world stirred.

Make it an obsession

through confession

and always keep addressing

that what’s stressing.

It’s not important what’s in your possession,

but it is to freshen your lesson

in perception.

Set a goal, one at a time –

keep a meaningful purpose in mind,

find some friends you can trust,

don’t let your passions turn to rust.

Let it out, make a plan

you surely know you can

it’s time to strategize and realize –

keep your eyes on the prize.

Keep shining bright with all your might,

Evana.

Part II: Just A Woman Passing through…

I’m just a woman passing through,

I’ve made mistakes like all of You.

Somehow, I did not fit like a shoe,

so I stayed on the conveyer sad and blue.

I tried my best to be good and learn –

many times I caught a burn

didn’t understand the constant trials

yet kept faith for better tomorrows.

As God was with me all along,

he showed me life was better with a song –

singing loudly when in pain,

praying harder in the rain.

If there were no tears,

rainbows would not exist –

I can see clearly

and am abundantly blessed!

God has a plan,

a reason for it all:

to learn, to serve,

to answer his call.

With a shield and a glow

walking through life in the know

every obstacle, every problem

is taken up with him.

The struggle is not ours

in this world of sin.

I’m here to help all who ask

and all who care –

who don’t procrast,

and those who dare

embark on the most important journey

of lifelong learning and growth within

Are You ready for the “best is yet to come?”

We’re all deserving of this, please don’t run:

Together, wild and free –

we will learn and sing

and raise his name with glee,

we will grow in truth and love

abundantly.

Who’s with me?

Who’s jumping the train?

don’t be afraid,

you’ll grow a mane!

What matters most is how You see Yourself

We all have the potential to be Go(o)d like and divine.

It’s our choice to strive for excellence

and be de(light)full.

What You see is how You live,

and what You think is how You live.

Once You start changing your perspective

towards him and yourself,

everything turns to gold.

Know that You are loved!💖

🙌Keep shining brightly,

Evana.

I’m just a woman passing through,

I’ve made mistakes like all of You.

I look deeply, see clearly,

learn intently and grow wisely.

I have learned from those highest –

of those above and those below,

I’ve seen a lot, only God knows.

My reason for being is to serve ALL:

all who listen,

all who hear and

all those with open minds.

I aim to help You all to shine!

I’m here to light your candles,

ignite your flames –

to help You understand no blames.

Many a person say:

“But what can one person do?”

One person can affect all

of those around them

which creates an exponential shift –

may we not very long drift.

One person may be the loneliest number,

but it only takes one person to begin

a revolution through others with them

Never stop being your best,

this sets us apart from the rest,

as humans we are all put through a test –

stand strong in your faith,

You are blessed!

VIBE WELL

Who is Evana and What is EvanaLife?

My story…

I was born in Adrian, Michigan to Janet Marlene (Bleich) and Albert Hermann Lang

My father was a farmer, a teacher and an award winning photographer, an avid historian and naturalist with a great fascination of these things. Our Mom was the first in her family to obtain a degree, and after she started teaching for a while even bought her own home independently, used to serve as the President of the Farmers’ wives club and strongly believed in music’s power of healing as therapy. My late parents were both teachers. Dad’s Master’s was in chemistry, and Mothers’ in biology.

Our Dad would play the airhorn in the morning to wake us up and our Mother sang while washing dishes. They share a beautiful story together.

My story branches off theirs yet interweaves itself with an array of similarities and repetitions in our histories. I experienced many adventures and unusual things in my life and love to tell these stories, theirs and mine. We are all a part of the big picture, the one we share together as human history.

Sea Stars Washing Ashore…

Stars above and stars below

watch in wonder all aglow,

Naked eyes can see those high,

goggles view the ones below.

Sea Stars washing ashore –

seeing some, then many more,

What a wonder, what a sight –

such a beautiful delight.

Sea Stars like us –

get a little lost in life.

We are still beautiful as we are vulnerable,

there are times we trust too soon –

are in more danger,

other times we are too cautious .

Once we learn to trust our God to take over,

we lose the need to worry.

With God’s help they find back to sea,

they journey home with glee –

One by one they’re back together –

and free.

Keep shining ever so brightly –

Blessings, Peace and Love,

Evana.

Don’t Ration Compassion…

Photo by lalesh aldarwish on Pexels.com

I’ve seen through others’ eyes,

suffered many dies,

been there with those suffering pain –

feel with them in their demise,

see in them – shame.

Instead of fearing them as “the other,”

I listen to their stories, and they become real,

then we see them as kin,

so nice to see from them – a grin –

sometimes just being there for them is a win.

Photo by Rodolfo Quiru00f3s on Pexels.com

What peoples I’m talking about

need not defining –

everyone who’s fallen down

and not shining –

sometimes too proud to seek help from another,

people like us can stand up to be a good sister or brother.

“Alone, but yet together, we all depend on each other.” ~ E. Lang

The Real You is Truth

E-coli, Corona, Ebola, West Nile,

What world do we live in,

or has it gone wild?

I know not what’s next but

the smile on my face,

no reason to dread

or be a sad case.

~

Today in this world

that’s uncommonly nuts,

the unknowns quadrupled

in size and mistrust.

~

Each day in this world

is ours to create –

breathe deep and take in

all lessons that shape –

a beautiful sculpture of

heroes with capes.

~

As day comes to end

to a sweet evening glow,

I hope you succeeded

in helping others know,

we are all connected

above and below,

may God’s love surround you

like an invisible glow.

~

🙌 We are blessed…

Fear is an Untruth

In today’s world, fear is all around us and a commonplace, yet it is not real. Fear is a purely imagined “worst case scenario” that hasn’t happened, is untrue and inauthentic. Those trained by the military and other service men and women are taught to stay calm during times of crisis. People who panic are those most vulnerable.

Living with fear continuously is a recipe for disaster and affects our mental capacity to absorb new information. This fear develops into becoming impulsive and emotional which leads to being negative in judging and decision making. Instead of being safer with fear, it actually weakens our immune systems.

Anytime you experience fear think about whether it’s true, then think of the actual truth (reality) by imagining the “best case scenario” and how that will feel. Enjoy the feeling of faith and trust by doing the best you can and leaving the rest to God.

Let go and let God.

💖Many blessings,

Evana.

Hanging out Together – Welcome to my Hangout

A Reflection on Connection

—————————————————————————-

Playing with words connecting on lines,

thinking deeply and finding rhymes –

pondering traditions of hanging clothes.

Sometimes we underestimate the pros

of spending time outdoors

as our spirit is lifted and grows,

it’s always a good time to be exposed.

2839e8a9-f1cc-45da-b260-5efc88546acf

Why do I love words so?
Because they play a melody;
words can be happy,
joyful and magic
when you chose them right,
they can dance like a
mad-in-love couple,
or jump and skip and make it hip.
The sounds, the rhythms,
the awesome vibes,
they help us feel alive.

When I think of the word “line”, I think of ways in which we are all connected. Our bodies are connected by veins that carry blood and oxygen throughout. A phone line, an electrical line, a gas line and of course – the World Wide Web connects people through a web of lines.

Traditionally, people used to hang clothes outside on a clothesline and it was common practice. How many of you have seen your parents or grandparents hanging up clothes on a clothesline? Hanging clothes on the line can be used as a form of reflection of the day, breathing fresh air, getting exercise and saving our resources by not using a clothes dryer. Connecting with nature in any way brings us closer to ourselves and who we are in the inside. This can be a welcome break from our busy lives.

My father enjoyed taking pictures of clotheslines and my mother loved hanging clothes on the line since she was a young girl. In fact, she has such fond memories of this that she remembers singing happily during the chore as the wind was blowing and the birds were chirping. A clothesline can be a very inspirational subject, as it creates interest in form, shape, color, environment and composition. Numerous artists used the clothesline in paintings including Charles Oldenburg, Renoir and Pietro Longhi.

A clothesline offers both intrinsic and extrinsic values for us: we are dependent on wearing clothes and people assess us by the clothes we are wearing. A clothesline can represent daily life as an ongoing process in which we all share responsibility.

Keep shining brightly,

Evana.
