Evanalife on Relationships ~ Live Victoriously

Live Victoriously

~ By Eva A, Lang

Every day,

be the best person you can be –

to yourself and to others.

Ask yourself: “Am I creating joy?”

Find ways to put others first,

make their day brighter

and treat them as if it was the last day

you see them.

Every difficult situation in life

carries potential value –

believe this,

then begin looking for it.

The more you get lost

in something bigger than yourself,

the more energy you will create,

feel and share.

Keep shining brightly,

🌸 Evana.

…Relationships

All relationships carry influence on our relationships with those closest to us. ~ E. Lang

Whoa…did I just use the “R” word?

This time, peeps, it’s about other types of relationships as you might expect. In this post, I will touch on many of our “other” relationships that have a connection with our more/most intimate relationships such as our significant other, family and friends.

Heather Moody, our Environmental Science teacher at Siena Heights University, told us students once that with every choice we make in life, we can experience unexpected connections and sometimes even unintended consequences. Even though she was referring to the environment and our practices in accountability towards it, this can easily translate to our everyday lives.

In this post, I will touch on our relationships to things, our bodies, change and our minds.

…Relationships to things

Every morning upon waking, we share a relationship with our alarm clocks. We set them, depend on them, maintain them and sometimes threaten them. Some of us even blame and abuse them. Our relationship with time management can be quite challenging, especially for those that are extremely creative. Distraction is wonderfully welcome to our souls yet disrupting to our schedules.

Of course there are different types of distractions, those in which family or friends ask for help and those in which our soul is screaming for attention. Other things in our lives are our phones, food, our clothes and our cars to name a few. Think about how you relate to all of these things throughout your every day and practice awareness on your thoughts. Weed out the negativity, frustration and disappointment and seek instead thankfulness and gratitude.

Think of bad thoughts as tiny ships passing by in a river. Allow the ships to pass that are not helpful in nourishing your soul. ~ E.Lang

…Relationships to our bodies

After several decades of carrying our bodies around, eventually our bodies respond to how we relate to it and with A.G.E. aka age, our bodies change as they begin to have different needs.

What? Wait – all the while we’re taking care of our kids, our bills, our appointments, etc. now our bodies are beginning to communicate more to us, so does that mean that we’ve been denying that it’s telling us things all along? Yes. We’ve been ignoring, dealing with and pushing our bodies’ cries under a rug (at least some of us), so don’t ignore what your body is telling you, because believe me, it’s not recommended to wait for it to SCREAM.

Practice good habits…

Eat Well:

be aware of what you eat, our modern diet has changed drastically and more and  more people suffer from celiac disease, allergies and food sensitivities. As you put food into your mouth notice the texture and taste of the food, eat slowly and controlled. Make sure to consume natural foods and allow yourself ample time to eat. Be grateful for food!

Our body is like a garden, only put good foods in it to nourish and cultivate good bacteria, practice to be mindful of what you think, eat and do, and do it all with love and gratefulness. ~ E. Lang

Relationships to Change

and practicing Mindfulness

Changes are always certain as long as life exists

All things take place by change from how they are to make new and everything that exists is the seed of which will be. Pain is not evil, it is human and necessary. Enjoy life by joining one good thing to another and try not to leave even the smallest intervals between.

Change is clearly one of the most challenging obstacles in our  lives. Each and every time a change happens, all things move. With changes in life we are thrown off our tracks and must relearn, regroup, reflect and regather ourselves. As long as ones perspective stays positive and faithful that there will indeed be value in terms of learning and progress, lessons will be learned and wisdom will be gained. During the process, we try to fight without reason, until we learn. When we open ourselves up to learn a new life lesson, it can be quite amazing, almost magical because we grow stronger, start fresh and try harder to be a better version of ourselves.

Life is a garden, practice planting good seeds through investing in good thoughts. Pull your weeds regularly. ~ E. Lang

Healing from Change

As I find, the most important things in life are the simplest: Faith in God, spending quality time with family and friends, self-care, healthy rituals and regular routines that encourage our best self to thrive. When we finish a chapter, we must begin again. In order to begin again, we need to evaluate our current situation, adjust and get back to the basics: when you are stressed: Be grateful for God, family and healthy habits!

Breathe Well:

be aware of your breaths as your chest rises and falls. Take deep breaths and hold it for a count of ten, then slowly and controlled, let it go out again. Be grateful for the air we breathe!

facebook_1561999764004-1

Mindfulness

The age of Mindfulness didn’t just get here by surprise, nor did it pop out of a cracker jack box, we’ve been going against nature in our way of life in a gradual but steady and exponential way. Other cultures have been practicing mindfulness for centuries. The closer we are to nature, the closer we are to our true selves. All the while we are trying to keep up, keep going and improve our lives, the improvement starts with us and us alone and always needs to come from within our core. Faith, hope and love carry a deep connection for this to happen and are necessary. Peace happens when we are one.

A separation from nature is a separation from ourselves. ~ E. Lang

Be grateful for Life and celebrate your Blessings!

🙌 Live Well,

Evana.

Find Beauty in Stillness

Been a foreigner, been a friend,

walked far, lived in a car – been transient.

I was young, fearless and kind,

thankfully not blind

to be open to the world’s love and crime –

the dangers, the lies,

the Beauty and the Devine.

By foot or by wheels, to each their own,

whichever way appealed to me at the time.

Be careful who you show a smile –

disguised under a façade you may find

not a go(o)d kind.

Photo by Daria Shevtsova on Pexels.com

Wonderful, magical times

are found in those who shine,

once you learn to tell them apart,

eventually you get smart

and if you continue to let life’s trials all be lessons,

you too will rise to become wise –

“be still and listen, be slow to answer,

slow to anger and quick to forgive.”

~ E. Lang

Keep on a disguise

so you can be shielded

from the hidden trickeries

that become ties –

ties that bind and ties that keep –

precious secrets and

forgotten lies.

Don’t believe anything

but the truth that’s inside,

not my story, not yours –

the only one needs not defending nor defining

and takes no sides.

Beautiful and still is the language of God,

for only in silence can you hear your hearts’ beat.

Cherish your blessings, love with all your heart

and know that true strength lays in gentleness,

not deceit.

Breathe Love, live Love,

and practice Love –

every day!

🙌 Blessings and keep shining brightly,

🌺Evana.

Mother Earth Day Cry

WE ARE ONE

~ by E. Lang

————————————————————————

Mother Earth needs us:

connect the dots

and get up and trust!

————————————————————————

Our Mother Earth needs us,

why don’t you think that’s just –

we’re all here together

in each and every weather.

We’re not made to rust

nor turn to leather –

Our Earth needs us,

in God we Trust.

Photo by T Leish on Pexels.com

————————————————————————

Don’t care about black or white,

blue or red –

rather think about life

than death.

Let’s put our differences to rest –

that’s our Earth at its best!

Get Up! Stand Up! Speak Up!

for You, for Me, for ALL.

————————————————————————

We don’t have to listen to the chatter

as the world continues to fabricate the matter –

it’s your choice to either listen

or follow in the wallow

of yet another swallowed.

————————————————————————

What truly makes change

are the people

who help rearrange

the furniture in the house.

————————————————————————

Stir it Up, Shake it Up,

gently Disrupt.

Fight for our Change –

Fill Your Cup

and Buckle Up!

————————————————————————

The Angels agree,

the planets align,

what is new? what is new?

Something quite divine!

This Earth is All Yours And All Mine,

Let’s treat it like our Mother

and shine!

🙌

If we, we, the people

could change, change the world.

————————————————————————

We’re just some humans passing through –

we all make mistakes like all of you.

Life is brief and time’s a thief,

as dots we come,

as dust we leave,

together –

We Are One.

————————————————————————

In everything you do

think of God and your Mother Earth too!

Tiptoeing through the tulips…

Photo by Tuu1ea5n Kiu1ec7t Jr. on Pexels.com

————————————————————————

As I tiptoe gently through the tulips,

I make sure I don’t disrupt their beauty.

As I walk softly through a crowd of people,

I quietly listen without judging and talk –

very little.

————————————————————————

Sometimes it takes more space for us

to separate ourselves from each other

and ourselves to see what’s apparent

to others looking in.

Photo by Francesca Zama on Pexels.com

————————————————————————

Take time to reflect…

Are you operating within your own authenticity?

Is anything you’re doing upsetting you?

Are you happy with your current choices and most recent decisions?

Do you feel at all that anything seems “off”?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You are not alone, you are never alone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Trust your Faith

but not your feelings –

think less about self

and more about serving.

Practice Gratefulness,

Joy and Love

and you will rise above!

————————————————————————

Peace is ours – for the taking,

our heaven awaits us here and now –

it’s much nicer why wait?

It’s never too late.

————————————————————————

Thoughts of a conflicting couple…

I like to move mountains,

but you complain that they even exist

and don’t even see the same mountains as I.

————————————————————————

You like to point fingers,

I look for common ground.

You find fault in others,

I see only beauty.

Photo by Pixabay on Pexels.com

————————————————————————

If you want to see a change,

do not look into trying to make someone

view the world as you –

it is not your job, nor your duty.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The time for truth is now and always.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is not easy to understand those hurting,

those hungry and those in pain –

but take a trip away and

listen to their stories, you might be amazed –

at how similar they are to you and I.

Sea Stars Washing Ashore…

Photo by Efe Yau011fu0131z Soysal on Pexels.com

Stars above and stars below

watch in wonder all aglow,

Naked eyes can see those high,

goggles view the ones below.

Sea Stars washing ashore –

seeing some, then many more,

What a wonder, what a sight –

such a beautiful delight.

Photo by Daniel Torobekov on Pexels.com

Sea Stars like us –

get a little lost in life.

We are still beautiful as we are vulnerable,

there are times we trust too soon –

are in more danger,

other times we are too cautious .

Once we learn to trust our God to take over,

we lose the need to worry.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is pexels-photo-1274260.jpeg

With God’s help they find back to sea,

they journey home with glee –

One by one they’re back together –

and free.

Ready To Rise and Release

Feeling fine,

like the river divine,

a bit sad of eye,

a little shy,

but full of hope,

and wanting to thrive,

I am alive.

—————————————————

Want no disguise and

nothing to hide,

out of the shadows

into the crowd,

what a ride.

—————————————————

Singing loudly

and oh so proud,

I am alive.

—————————————————

The waves are in a storm right now,

it’s not my favorite norm at all,

when it’s over I will rise,

I am alive.

Work With Your Emotions

To Release Them

🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

According to Matt James, PhD in his “Ready to Release” article in Psychology Today, our emotions carry purpose and wisdom. As we all experience positive and negative emotions he suggests us to begin “working with” our emotions instead of hiding them in order to release them. He feels that using the well known expression of “controlling” them could actually be misinterpreted as beating them into submission.

Many of us hide our emotions especially the negative ones and even if we might think “out of sight, out of mind,” these emotions are still there and working on causing all types of problems as they manifest mentally and physically. Many of these can be held in resentment, anger, hostility, fear, guilt and regrets. Some people hold onto things so long, they might not even know what they’re holding onto anymore.

💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

In his research, James found a great example of the 19th century Hawaiians and their vastly different approach to releasing emotions. As the Westerners were arriving, the ancient Hawaiians were in fact almost devoid of mental and physiological disease. How is this possible? This is because the Hawaiians work with their “unihipili,” (trans. “little creature/a little self inside you = our unconscious mind).

In a nutshell, our emotions that are stored within us collect, and once they surface, they will be expressed and worked through so that they can be released. This relieves stress, repressed emotions and memories.

A Sky Full Of Stars

In a rowboat alone on a deep, dark night

with a sky full of stars

magically aligned,

I let myself go in a dreams lullaby,

taken by such vast beauty through these eyes,

dreaming about all earths miracles,

waking up with a cry –

all of nature moves me!,

without nature,

we die.

When we learn of the truth inside us,

we sometimes go astray,

why do we tell ourselves untruths that hide us?

We are perfect as we are today.

We can do so much more than we want to believe,

open up, spread your wings,

smile and be – a You Who Sings!

Know Your Truth…

Being Impeccable (sinless) With Your Word

In Don Miguel Ruiz’s book “The Four Agreements,” a Toltec Wisdom book, he describes us as having agreements with ourselves and others. Anything we accept as true, is an agreement we make with others and/or with ourselves. If we believe someone who speaks bad words against us, we are accepting it as a truth in agreement against ourselves and this is a sin. This sin begins with self-rejection in which is everything you feel, believe or say goes against yourself.

He talked about how animals only pay once for their mistakes, yet humans pay 1000’s of times. Our belief system is responsible for abusing ourselves as the judge and the victim. We ourselves are our worst judge and critic. Ruiz said: “The Word is a force you cannot see, yet you can see the manifestation of the force in your life. You know you’re using the word against yourself if you’re suffering with guilt, sadness or fear and using it impeccably if you’re happy.”

Being impeccable (sinless) with your word is the most difficult yet powerful agreement. Your word is God for “In the beginning was the word,” a gift from God. Through this word, we manifest everything through expressing creative power. All of our knowledge, everything you think, every opinion and every belief is created with the word. By using words, we create belief systems and entire life stories are made of words.

We use words with our thoughts; expressing feelings, opinions, ideas, remembering the past and imagining the future. Our very own personal life story is created by words. Your word is what you tell yourself, agree to accept as the truth, then believe. It’s a force that you have the power to create. Use your word as a beautiful story instead of misusing it and its force energy will be heavenly sinless.

Words give us the opportunity to create a better story. When you find yourself in thoughts that are troubling think out loud: “Is this true?” 95% of our beliefs are lies we believe and this is how we create drama. Instead of doubting yourself, doubt the lies. After each “untruth” is dispelled, it dispels the negative power and raises faith and good vibes.

Use your word to express truth in every thought, every action and every belief to create your best life story.

Let your story shine!

Blessings,

Evana.

Together –

May We Grow Bolder

Life can be a tragedy, or a melody,

a treasurehowever you think it

so shall it be. It’s meant to be –

a pleasure.

————————————————————————

Our life is brief and time’s a thief,

no one knows how long –

think with your heart,

be conscious of your part,

live like a beautiful song.

————————————————————————

Be a blessing for those stressing –

a stronghold for those weary of soul.

————————————————————————

Find what you want, then set your goal

and believe it to be true.

Pray to the Lord your mind will clear,

and stillness takes control.

————————————————————————

The love you seek you’ll find within,

a powerful glow –

believe it to be true,

and the miracle will be YOU!

Don’t Ration Compassion…

Photo by lalesh aldarwish on Pexels.com

I’ve seen through others’ eyes,

suffered many dies,

been there with those suffering pain –

feel with them in their demise,

see in them – shame.

————————————————————————

Instead of fearing them as “the other,”

I listen to their stories, and they become real,

then we see them as kin,

so nice to see from them – a grin –

sometimes just being there for them is a win.

What peoples I’m talking about

need not defining –

everyone who’s fallen down

and not shining –

sometimes too proud to seek help from another,

people like us can stand up to be a good sister or brother.

Part II: Flower in the Snow…

Flower in the snow, ❄️

do you even know

how beautiful you are –

head reaching to the stars.

Sun, clouds, rain and snow.

🌹 Flower in the Snow,

I can see you stand proud with the sun

and blow with the wind,

even when it’s a cold one.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Flower in the Snow – ☃️
no matter what the weather throws,
you always bless us with a beautiful show.
I just wanted to let you know
how gorgeous you are,
you make our days glow! ✨
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I don’t know

if you heard of Leonardo,

but he studied the beauty in nature

and the force inside life that helps us grow

Sometimes seeing flowers can feel like seeing rainbows 🌈 .

He wanted to know

about this force that allows us to transform

that what is within us all

that pushes us to our greatest potential

to set the world aglow!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Let our brains be relieved of made up constraints,
let us let go of the mundane
and change to the other lane –
👇
Even in the pouring rain,
it’s so not insane for doing what’s truly ours,
we’re on the chosen train even if to many’s disdain,
it is possible for everyone to find, get and maintain.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When there’s something weighing you down,

it’s your baggage or your griefcase.

Look within to find the answers to change your pace.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Forgiveness is a freeing grace to each other –
not good is it being angry at one another.
Find that place in your heart
where you can see the perspective
of your sister or brother,
Father or Mother.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Using God as your guide is your best start,

he will help you see your part.

Waves of the ocean,

sand in a glass –

if we call on God,

this too shall pass.

God’s Blessings,

Evana
