…Stay tuned for “I am the Quiet Thunder” Part 2

I’m just a woman passing through,
I feel real good ‘bout what I do –
It’s a feeling that can’t be bought
and a class that should be taught.
Doing good does good vibration,
no medicine, no alteration –
no credit card, no big vacation:
once you get tuned into the right station,
You can affect the entire nation!

It’s okay…
that I ran out of shower 🚿 gel,
oh, well,
I’ll use what we got, it’ll do –
after my shower I’ll still feel like new.
It’s okay…
I’m gonna smell like a man,
oh, well,
save money to throw in a can
of the neighboring music man.
It’s okay…
to have a lil’ less,
oh, well,
give others under stress,
know God’s with you in a mess,
you’re abundantly blessed. 🙌

When you realize you’re lighting up,
no longer you’ll be living in a cup,
this is your time of change –
it’s finally time to rearrange
in your life of utter strange.
Suddenly, all is clear
and forward
is the only way to steer!
Know that you are not alone –
alone, but yet together
we all depend on each other.
Rise from Hardships to Victory!
Inspire Positive Change!
Find Common Ground!
Rise, Shine and Share Your Light ✨

Don’t stop believing,
Evana.

Finally found what’s mine –
I wanna go to the flowers
and sunshine,
I love ❤️ to rhyme,
it’s not a crime
yet so divine,
No more need for cryin’…
I wanna be with the flowers
and sunshine:

All I have to do
is keep going,
keep doing
what I love doing –
no need for suing
those brewing
a different kind of blue-ing,
they don’t yet have
the same need of pursuing:
the greatest thing, the biggest joy:
Being a help to others renewing!

I wanna go…
to the flowers and sunshine,
can I ride a flying carpet,
or will my Jetpack do,
do I need a ticket
then just pick it?

I wanna go…
to the flowers and sunshine,
a place so divine,
which way do I go
to find more of my kind –
peeps that love ❤️ to share their shine ✨
I wanna stay with the flowers and sunshine.

Peace, Love & Kindness,
Evana.
Stay tuned for my next post “Be on Fiah till your Light goes out”…

Under Your Scars…
You’re not fooling me;
from under your scars,
we are not that far
from being all the same
what a shame –
Shame on you
for being blue,
blue has never looked good
on you.
Stop being a coward
using a crutch,
playing the victim
doesn’t do very much.
One thing I will say to you:
In this life
you are aboard a ship
of fools,
but newsflash hunny –
I sail my own canoe.
Face it don’t chase it,
you are running from yourself,
running away –
no one wins in shadowboxing,
not any time, not any day.

Stop being a coward
using a crutch,
playing the victim
doesn’t do very much.

When the can is dented,
kick it from the inside.
Don’t hide but do confide,
life can be a bumpy ride –
think of peeps in your life
peeps you can trust.
And help each other,
raise one another up.
You don’t need to keep it in,
that will never work to win.
In this life we can only conquer together
in any and every weather,
that’s why we’re urged to divide
cuz then no one can be helped
and chaos won’t subside.
With one against each other
there can’t be peace with our brother,
this is something we all know
in our hearts and through our soul.
Peace, Love and Kindness,
Evana.
Now Be a Blessing…

Start addressing
those around you stressing –
Stop expecting
and start accepting,
Life is messy.
Accept your life as it is:
a gift we’ve been given
to live and breathe –
we have our legacies to leave.
We are not in competition
in a game of life
our western ways aim to persuade.
It’s good to find your mission.
What are you leaving?
What will you be known for?
Is it really clear,
or haven’t you opened that door?

It’s not a race so give grace
you can slow down your pace
and keep a smile on your face –
that’s something that never goes to waste.
It’s easy to get swallowed
in the business of life –
so stop ✋ and be still,
for in stillness
you will find your light.
Remember to let go and forgive
in order to better live –
it will free what you’ve been holding,
and definitely be molding:
a better person, a brighter future
and the common good is nurtured.
Learn from within
and bless those around you,
it’s a win:
Peace In, Peace Out
and then without a doubt,
you can be free and shout:
“Take me as I am,
love me,
guide me,
I surrender all to you.
use me,
and I thank You
for all you do!”

Worship not War Ship
Good Fight not Battle
Build don’t Destroy
Pray not Prey
Turn Bitterness into Kindness
and Resentment into Compassion
and please 🙏 don’t ration
your compassion.
Together we can move mountains –
Divided we will fall.

Love, Peace and Kindness,
Evana.

What an Amazing Night!

Here I am with two bands at a New Years Eve bash with two smashing cool bands;
“Fools Fait” and “Blackstone Steel.”
Just a few days ago, my friend Denise told me about a really cool gig to go to for New Years Eve, it was way out in the country in the boonies. There would be two bands playing set to set. Immediately I was intrigued and knew this was something different and special that I did not want to miss.

Everything was there – it was like in a dream and I felt like floating on a cloud. There was a lot of room to sit near the food or closer to the bands, one could even watch from above, super cool! It was a lot of fun dancing and just taking it all in. With gobs of friendly people and a welcoming overall feel this was the place to be on New Years Eve for sure!
One highlight very special to me was to meet Rio Doyle up close and personal!!!

Once Fools Fait was finished playing their gig, we heard an announcement about buying raffle tickets. The big prize was a guitar, one that was hanging on the guitarist’s wall upstairs, right there in the barn. and after I hesitated for a while, I got up to buy 5. When I got up to the desk, I couldn’t see a line but then after someone moved, I asked a man standing nearby if he was in line. He said I could go first, he’s a gentlemen. I said “chivalry’s not dead, thanks so much.”
As the night went on it came time to announce the winner of an electric guitar and they called out the first number, oh, dang, I was one number off. But then no one came forward so they drew another one and someone went up but they didn’t have the number, so when they called the third number, it was the very middle number of my five tickets and I couldn’t even believe it!!! To be on the safe side, I kept them all together because I tend to be clumsy and who knows? Knowing me I could have dropped it on the way to the stage or maybe I didn’t read it right.

But YES, it’s true, it was ME!!! Yipeeee!!! I won. That guy came back that let me go ahead of me and said:”I bet you’re happy I let you go ahead of me!”
So that was the story of how I got my guitar, once the guitarist took the guitar off the wall, they commemorated it by signing it with the date and all of the band members of both bands too!
This is a story that doesn’t have to end, now this guitar has already been imagined by me as I wrote a song about a guitar. What it might be like to have one and its called “Me and My Guitar.”

Going forward I am planning to get some friends who are musicians together and perhaps “this is the beginning of something good,” as Daugherty said in a song.

Be blessed and thankful for blessings,
Evana.
“Me and My Guitar 🎸”, a Song I wrote, a Dream came true!!!
I never owned a guitar, but imagined it with a poem I wrote in my 20’s.
But first, here’s a snapshot of my story…

I’ve been writing poems and songs since I was in my early 20’s. Before that, I enjoyed writing short stories in the closet, (at least my late Mom always told me that’s where she found me writing 😁). I was born in Adrian, Michigan and spent my early years of Elementary School in Onsted, Michigan, also known as the “Gateway to the Irish Hills.” It’s a small village located north of Toledo, Ohio and south of Jackson, Michigan. I was fortunate to be able to travel with my parents who both worked for the Armed Forces. As a dependent daughter of the Armed Forces, I grew up in Southwestern Germany. In German schools, I participated in choir, video, cultural dance and drama.
As a creative person with a good imagination, I have always been fond of the expressive arts. To share my love ❤️for writing ✍️, music 🎶 and the arts 🎭 🖼️, I manage a blog in which I aim to inspire people to find their own inner force by expressing themselves through these channels. My career experience includes working as an administrator, program instructor, paraprofessional and assistant director. I have experience in working with physically- and mentally challenged adults, autism in children and dementia in Seniors. I have a B.A. in Communications from Siena Heights University and am planning on continuing my education moving forward.
I recited my poetry in various places including the Sand Bar Cafe in Manitou Beach, Michigan, Hooligan’s in Adrian and Club 223 with great success and motivating feedback. My inspiration for my first published poetry was initiated by my late Mother when she told me about a contest in our local paper, “The Daily Telegram.” My parents had a farm between Adrian and Onsted, Michigan. I felt moved by nature since the difference from living in a more crowded country versus one like the US helped me appreciate nature and freedom that much more. The stark contrast of culture, lifestyles, leadership and living is profound.
Fast forward to today, I’ve been back from Germany for over 25 years and, after having three sons and finally feeling somewhat more settled in life, I am ready for my next adventures. I’ve had some health issues and roadblocks like everyone but since the dust settled, I am rising through the rubble and looking up.
Writing, Music and the Arts are always helpful and therapeutic to me so I aim to share that with the world in my work and inspire others to take a shot into the expressive arts: writing, music or the arts. I’ve been managing EvanaLife.com since around 2017 and boy do I love it and everything it is. This year, I am finally ready to publish in print. It is a force, it is a catalyst and it will grow exponentially.
Now to how I got my guitar…will be in my next post
…Stay tuned
Blessings,
Evana.

Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?
It was the year 2015, I was a Senior and had to prepare a speech for our English Class.
Several months before, I found myself in one ☝️ of our classes and my classmates and I all got the news that our intensely laborious 20- ish page Essay that we had been working on needed to get condensed. 😳
We were invited to first “take the juice from the fruit” (take the most important parts/concepts/ideas) from our work, then craft a 5-7 minute Powerpoint Presentation and present it in our University’s Auditorium in front of several of our faculty!
When I heard our professor tell us this, it made me instantly think 💭 about Gilligan’s reaction from Gilligan’s Island 🏝️ in the episode in which the professor told the stranded crew that the island is going under. I’ll never forget his expression: pure disbelief, shock and fear all at the same time. He replied :”Hellllllllllllllp!!!,” and started running away.🤣😂😅
That’s exactly how I felt at that time and it took a tremendous amount of self control to not react as he did once I escaped the building. 🏃♀️ 💨
My experience in front of people consisted of choir, plays and dance class in my younger years, then drama in High School and even Speech Class in our University. However, these types of presentations were all with my classmates who I knew very well. And growing up, I was a very shy girl.
These types of events were created for parents to have a chance to be a supportive part in their children’s school lives and helped their children push themselves to work together in a team and be challenged. This was very different. We had to present in front of many of our faculty members!
As I was telling my Mom about all of this, she just simply shrugged 🤷♀️ it off and said: “Just pretend they’re all a bunch of potatoes!, and you’ll be just fine.” And I did just that (except I had to contain myself not to laugh 😆🤣)
So, I presented my speech and it went very well, and I’m very happy that I did it because now I truly enjoy presenting in front of people!!!
Mom also said: “All you can do is do the best you can and just leave the rest to God.” And these two things she said gave me cheer, support and backup all at the same time!!!
Evana.
Keep shining Brightly
Be brave and –
VIBE WELL
P. S.: btw., it’s never as bad as you think it and always keep in mind “this too shall pass.”

Saw a dark horse one morning,
a dark horse walking through the suburbs.
In the mist, it was moving slowly
as I asked myself:
Where did it come from?
Where does it go?
The dark horse walking through the suburbs…
It’s looking for home
tryin’ to find back
where it belongs –
tryin’ to find its pack.
In life,
we find ourselves searching.
Searching for answers
trying to find where we belong.

I know my place is
within a song.
A song gives us
the fleedom
that we all long.
To find your tribe –
seek people with whom you jive,
people who share
what you feel inside.
Songs give us comfort,
they give us peace –
help us connect:
sing 🎤 to the beat!

We’re all in this life together
as it’s fragile as a feather.
It’s always good to get together
in most any kind of weather.
Weather changes every day:
your thoughts and actions,
your vibe-alog –
make sure you take good care
of those around you and share
that…
A song is a playful way
to share love with the world
and brighten the day –
Find your inner song
and don’t forget to pray!

Love unconditionally yours,
✨Evana.
